Our project

 

Gospel music lives in the heart of the people.
Therefore, man is set in the middle of the project »Gospel Centre«!

Gospel music constantly fascinates with its strong meaningfulness and its timeless message. Every year masses of people make pilgrimages to churches and concerts during the Advent, to experience international gospel choirs. Originally arisen from parishes, gospel music has solved its roots, often leaving behind the religious rooms.
Nevertheless, there are still lots of people, who experience a piece of their own home with the rhythms of Afro-American ecclesiastic music.

From a gospel choir to a gospel centre
For some years now, Beatrice and Christoph Kamber are building a gospel choir. With their motto »each voice is important to us« they get in touch with people of different life experiences, who are looking for relationships. With their being and their voices they can be themselves: with all their anxieties, questions and emotions. Singing gospel they go their way together, where each person with its voice and personality can grow and develop. The outcome of this is the community of The Gospel Voices Switzerland.

A project arises
With our project »Gospel Center« we want to follow the needs of a multicultural and multireligious society. We want to create an open space for people of different origins and ages to meet with gospel music and to sing together music which swings, cheers up and sets free.
